Meet the Mayor
He is the longest-lived mayor of Cluj-Napoca and has been elected 6 times (2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020 and 2024). He served also as Romania’s Prime Minister under president Traian Basescu in 2008 – 2009.

And it is a reference city in the European Union, and you have seen, the World Bank has said it is the city with the best quality of life in Romania, and if Romanians were to decide to move somewhere in the country, they would move to Cluj."
